Dr. Gloria Griffin earned academic degrees from the University of Oklahoma.  She is an Oklahoma African American Hall of Fame inductee and recipient of the Oklahoma Human Rights Award, the Delta Legacy:  Women Making a Difference Award, and the Leadership Oklahoma City Distinguished Leadership Award.  She retired as superintendent of Millwood Public Schools, dedicating forty-one years to education.  Dr. Griffin is a charter member of the Oklahoma Sooner City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a member of the Oklahoma City Chapter of the LINKS, Inc., and the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc., Gamma Epsilon Chapter.  She is a Rotarian.
